Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, the original Salter Healthcare location, has 140 beds and is a dynamic facility that has responded to health care reform head-on. Innovative changes in response to consumer and industry demands are a hallmark of the Woburn Nursing Center, which was the first Joint Commission accredited post acute unit in Massachusetts and 5th in the nation.
Transitional Rehabilitation/Post Acute Programs
Woburn offers a Transitional Rehabilitation/Post Acute Medical program that provides care to patients regaining the ability to live independently in their community. We provide five distinct programs that meet the needs of post acute patients: Complex Medical (including Oncology), Post Surgical IV Therapy, Pain Management, Wound Management, and Complex Rehabilitation. This post acute program is covered by most major health care insurers.
Daily Therapy Services
We employ our own Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, who are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our residents. Our specially equipped Therapy Gym and home-like kitchen model allows patients to practice daily living skills prior to returning home.

Skilled Nursing programs include, but are not limited to:
IV Therapy
