Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 123-bed facility that provides short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing services and long-term care and is Joint Commission accredited with commendation. The Salter Family built Aberjona from the ground up in 1979.
Short-term Rehabilitation
Our modern Rehabilitation wing features a separate entrance and dining room for patients who require a short-term stay. This intensive short-term rehabilitation program is designed to assist patients in regaining their ability to live independently in the community. Our Social Work team partners with patients to help with adjustment issues and to coordinate home care services.
Daily Therapy Services
Physical, Occupational, Speech and Respiratory therapies are available daily. A specially equipped Therapy Suite challenges residents to regain independent function, while a home-like kitchen and bathroom model allows them to practice daily living skills.
Intensive Skilled Nursing Programs
Skilled Nursing programs include, but are not limited to:
IV Therapy
Pain Management
Wound Management
Surgical Aftercare
Hospice Care
Therapeutic Recreation Programs
Our recreation programs are directed towards healing body, mind and spirit. The milieu is designed to enhance well-being and to renew self-esteem.
