Jennifer Gizmunt Brings Nearly 20 Years of Long-Term Care & Senior Living Industry Success
Salter HealthCare (http://www.salterhealthcare.com), one of Massachusetts’s most trusted leaders in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Gizmunt as Chief Executive Officer replacing Bob Driscoll who retired in January. Gizmunt will oversee the daily operations for all three Salter HealthCare communities, including Aberjona, Winchester and Woburn Rehabilitation & Nursing Centers. She joins Salter from Lahey Health Continuing Care where she was Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Owners Richard and Robert Salter will continue to lend leadership and support to the company.
A resident of Lynnfield, Gizmunt has nearly 20 years of long-term care, assisted living and home health experience working in operations, administration, sales, marketing and business development roles. At Lahey Health Continuing Care she was as an executive for over 13 years and had responsibility for post-acute and continuing care services, including skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living, adult day health, home health and hospice services. She was a Board Member for the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association from 2007 to 2017. Jennifer holds an M.S. in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a B.S. in Business Administration from Merrimack College.
With Gizmunt as CEO using her extensive background in post-acute care, Salter is poised for a new level of excellence, innovation and growth to meet the changing needs of patients, families, insurance providers, hospitals and Accountable Care Organizations (ACO’s).
“After an extensive search, Robert and I believe that Jennifer has the experience and skills necessary to continue to make Salter HealthCare communities the best place to work and receive the best care. She is already familiar to many of us through our long-standing partnership with Lahey Health so we believe this will be a smooth transition,” said Richard Salter, Co-Owner of Salter HealthCare.
“I’ve always been incredibly impressed with the Salter family and their talented, long-tenured team of leaders and colleagues so I am truly honored to be able to lead the charge and build upon their success,” said Gizmunt. “I’m also excited to be able to continue to advocate for and positively impact the lives of people in the community in which I live.”
