A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Winchester, who has served for over 24 years, has retired. As a nurse, Marie Michel has attended to thousands of patients recovering from surgery, injury or a chronic illness since becoming a CNA and joining the Aberjona staff in 1988. As much as Marie will miss caring for patients, the Malden resident is excited to be able to volunteer more at her local homeless shelters and the food pantry, and spend additional time with her grandchildren, Dania and J’Ameer. On Thursday, January 14, 2016, the entire staff at Aberjona gathered to bid her a fond farewell. “We will miss Marie immensely. She has been a valuable asset to our nursing team and her dedication will be irreplaceable,” said Stephen Buckley, B.S., P.T.A., N.H.A., Executive Director of Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
